We have many clients in the property sector who need a glazing solution, especially if they have properties that are historically registered. Most older properties have old windows which lose a lot of heat yet they are not allowed to replace them. (A real pickle, we know). To solve this problem, our team often provide a supply and fit service of 3M Thinsulate Window Film.
This particular property in Cardiff had approximately 40 panels with 8 panes per panel that needed to be treated. With such a large number of steel-framed windows, they were losing a lot of heat in their home and were also suffering from fading on their furnishings caused by UV rays.
Following our own survey, our installation team was able to fit 3M Thinsulate Window Film to all existing panes of glass throughout the property (320qty in total). The result? Aesthetics were virtually unchanged and the amount of natural light wasn’t affected, yet insulation was increased by 40% and solar glare was reduced resulting in a comfortable environment all year round.
