Products applied: Frosted Film with Cut Vinyl Graphics
Applied Products supported Knox & Wells during the refurbishment of Llys Cadwyn, a former derelict shopping centre being redeveloped into modern offices, community facilities and a café for RCT Council.
As the redevelopment progressed, Knox & Wells required a practical and attractive privacy solution for the ground-floor areas. These spaces, located along a busy street, were being used by construction staff as a temporary canteen and welfare facilities. With large expanses of glass facing the public, the client needed to block outside visibility while still presenting a smart, branded appearance during the building phase.
What did we do?
To deliver both privacy and visual appeal, we applied frosted window film combined with Knox & Wells’ blue vinyl cut lettering.
The frosted film instantly provided the required privacy, preventing passers-by from seeing into the temporary facilities. The addition of the company’s vinyl branding clearly communicated that the building was an active Knox & Wells site, enhancing professionalism and improving the overall aesthetics of the ground-floor frontage.
Importantly, the vinyl graphics were fitted so they could be easily removed once refurbishment work was complete, ideal for a temporary yet high-impact solution.
The results?
The client was very pleased with the result. The frosted, branded glazing provided privacy for staff, communicated clearly to the public, and created a more attractive, cohesive look during the redevelopment period. Once the project was finished, the graphics were simply removed, leaving the glass ready for its new purpose within the multi-functional public space.
